    09/21/08 Why Do It?

    "We must ask ourselves, 'Do I go to Church, do I do the things I do because I love our Lord, or am I trying to punch a ticket to get into Heaven?"

    Homily from the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross:

    It's easy to become ungrateful when you don't see what it cost. It's easy to look at a Cross and just sort of think it's nice. But when you look at a Crucifix, and you see our Lord beaten, bruised, cut, crucified...you have to stop and ask yourself, "Am I grateful?"
